Warwick Bell is a Wellington-based architect, a director for Bell Kelly Beaumont Team Architects Ltd and a founding director of the nationwide consortia Team Architects Ltd. Warwick is also a part-time lecturer and tutor in Professional Practice at the Victoria University of Wellington School of Architecture. His involvement with education goes further, as he is Chair of the NZIA Education Task Group, a Director of Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics Quality and until recently served on the Board of the New Zealand Qualifications Authority. Among other roles, Warwick was Deputy Chair and Executive Member of the Industry Training Federation of New Zealand for seven years and Deputy Chair NZIA Wellington Branch. He also served on Visiting Boards to Schools of Architecture at Auckland University and UNITEC, as well as in PNG, South Africa and Nigeria. Warwick started out as a graduate and then an associate with Peddle Thorp in Wellington in the mid-1980's.
Kate Davenport

Kate Davenport is a barrister specialising in civil and commercial litigation. Ms Davenport’s particular interests and expertise include resolution of disputes in land law, property disputes, trust law, wills and estate litigation, property relationship claims, construction law, claims in contract and tort, administrative law, health and ACC claims. She has considerable expertise as counsel before tribunals, and the District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal. Ms Davenport is an experienced mediator and is on the LEADR panel of mediators and the Weathertight Homes mediation panel. She has a particular expertise in professional discipline and is a member of the Auckland District Law Society’s prosecution panel and Deputy Chairperson of the Health Practitioners Disciplinary Tribunal.
Callum McKenzie

Callum McKenzie is a Registered Architect and leads the midsized central Wellington practice McKenzie Higham Architecture, undertaking a broad range of work to a diverse client base. Mr McKenzie is currently a NZRAB assessor, convenes the Wellington Assessment Panel, and is a member of the NZIA/NZRAB Visiting Panel to the VUW School of Architecture.
Anna-Marie Chin

Anna-Marie Chin is a Registered Architect and Practice Director for Crosson Clarke Carnachan Chin Architects Ltd in Queenstown, which she formed in 2007. Ms Chin graduated BArch in 1992 and worked for a number of practices before setting up her own. Ms Chin is a member of the Urban Design Panel, Queenstown and describes her interest as “listening between the lines to a client’s brief, and capturing their internal vision in the design process, so that the end building is as the client imagined, yet so much more.”
Helen Tonkin

Helen Tonkin is a Chartered Accountant, specialising in “turnaround situations”. Helen has held positions as Financial Controller, Group Controller, Finance Director, Company Secretary and Project Manager in publicly listed and private companies. Her industry experience has been mainly in construction, manufacturing, forestry, transport, auctioneering and events management. Ms Tonkin has served as Finance Director or Company Secretary for Edge Creative Ltd’s Advisory Board, Broadway Industries Ltd, Ponsonby Primary School Board, Lend Lease NZ Pension Fund and Civil & Civic NZ Ltd and is on the Board of the Prisoners’ Aid and Rehabilitation Auckland Society Association. Her iwi affiliation is to Ngati Mahanga.
Carolynn Bull

Carolynn Bull is a senior legal practitioner, principally in family law. She has significant experience in court and private mediation conferences, and a wide range of experience in government appointments. Ms Bull is currently the Families Commissioner, and was previously a Human Rights Commissioner. She was nominated to the Board as a consumers' representative.
Christina van Bohemen

Christina van Bohemen is a director of Sills van Bohemen Architecture where she undertakes urban design and architectural projects. Christina is a presenter for the NZIA Graduate Development Programme and guest critic in design at both Auckland schools of architecture. She is an external examiner for the University of Auckland School of Architecture and Planning and is also on the Board of Studies. Christina was Chairperson of the NZIA Auckland Branch in 2008-2009. She graduated from Victoria University of Wellington in 1996 and previously worked for Jasmax.
Marshall Cook

Marsh Cook has worked primarily in Auckland for the past 40 years in practice with partners Terry Hitchcock, Peter Sargisson, Simon Pirie and Guy Tarrant. He has been involved in housing and resort projects throughout New Zealand and also in Japan, North America, Thailand and the Pacific Islands. Other related work included large scale urban design projects, Housing New Zealand’s Healthy Housing Programme and conservation consultation. During this period Mr Cook had teaching appointments in the United Kingdom, Australia and at Auckland University. Mr Cook is a past Unitec Adjunct Professor of Design. He was a judge of Monier Design Awards, Carter Holt Harvey Awards, NZIA. Branch, Regional and National Juror as well as past President of Auckland Architectural Association, and served on the NZIA. National Council and Auckland Branch Committee.
Paul Jackman - CHIEF EXECUTIVE
Paul Jackman was appointed in August 2007. Paul's previous background was in public relations and journalism. He represented the New Zealand Qualifications Authority, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand, Federated Farmers of New Zealand (Inc.) and the Leader of the Opposition (1992-93). Prior to that, he was a press gallery journalist for Radio New Zealand.
Andrew Symonds - EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Andrew Symonds was appointed in February 2007. Andrew brings to the role many years of experience in health occupational regulation (registration and disciple). He has been Secretary to the Psychologists Board and Chiropractic Board and successfully helped implement the Health Practitioners Competence Assurance Act 2003 (HPCA Act). The HPCA Act mirrors the focus on consumer protection and ongoing practitioner competence found in the Registered Architects Act 2005. Andrew manages the registration and complaints/discipline processes and is the Complaints Officer.
